I believe you have to connect as a regular user, IIRC there is a problem
printing as the guest user from linux for some reason (at least I haven't
managed to make it work).

Look at the foomatik packages there is a ppd package that has quite a few
printer drivers. Not sure which of the packages are actually needed though.
