Yes. Lucid Emacs was a version of Emacs forked off the GNU version by
a company called Lucid (duh :) for use with their C development
environment. When Lucid folded, the 'net community took over
development and made it XEmacs (for eXtended Emacs). It's available
as a debian package in unstable/editors. Works well for me, so far.
