Bug#74862: tetex-bin: makeindex does not like DOS line-endings

Hi Ulf,

years ago you have reported this bug
(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=74862). Now we are at
version 2.0.2 of tetex, and 3.0 is soon to be released. 

Could you provide a short test example *.ist file, so that we can verify
whether the bug is still there? Does makeindex exit with an error, or
does it produce *.ind files that will cause LaTeX errors?
