teTeX 2.0 (tetex-base) contains two map files:
/etc/texmf/dvips/{p,t}xfonts.map, which were created by TE for the
pxfonts and the txfonts. During installation updmap is called and
uses (among others) these two files to create dvipdfm.map. So it
seems as if your request is already solved in upstream. Would you be
so kind to check this and close that bug if it is solved.
