Which one do you speak about?

Sorry, didn't notice that there is still another distribution of
Metapost, which is precompressed. I just thought, that everything on
CTAN is uncompressed and I can retrieve it comprssed it if I want to.
So I just searched for boxes.mp...

I compared my local /usr/share/texmf/metapost/base/boxes.mp (from
teTeX 1.0.7) with that uncompressed from CTAN (which is identical to
the version contained in metapost.tar.gz) and the result I've posted
to the bug: http://bugs.debian.org/182211 .

Well this boxes.mp is the version, contained in teTeX 2.0.2.

Thanks for the answer,
