Didn't see the "else" ;-)
Could have:
LSRS="/var/lib/texmf/ls-R /var/lib/texmf/ls-R.local /var/cache/fonts/ls-R"
before the debconf stuff, then use $LSRS later on, so the lines are a
little shorter ;-)
