tetex-bin/tetex-base packages

Okay...

I've built the packages -- about two and a half hours for
tetex-bin; two hours for tetex-base.

There are a whole bunch of lintian warnings that I want to clean
up before I upload them, though. I plan to fix things with the
exported source, build packages, and then check them again.

Once things look good, I'll copy the fixes to my CVS directory and
check them into the repository. (Something like half an hour for
each set of packages was just doing the export from CVS, so fixing
and building from the already exported source should save a lot of
time.)

Here are the lintian reports, if you're curious:

N: Processing changes file tetex-bin_1.0.7+20011202-7_powerpc.changes ...
N: Setting up lab in /home/claire/src/tmp/lintian-lab.31296 ...
N: Processing source package tetex-bin (version 1.0.7+20011202-7) ...
W: tetex-bin source: out-of-date-standards-version 3.2.0
N:
N: The source package refers to a 'Standards-Version' that is starting to
N: get out of date, compared to current Policy. You can safely ignore
N: this warning, but please consider updating the package to current
N: Policy.
N:
I: tetex-bin source: unknown-field-in-dsc uploaders
N: Processing binary package tetex-bin (version 1.0.7+20011202-7) ...
W: tetex-bin: link-to-undocumented-manpage usr/share/man/man1/fdf2tan.1.gz
N:
N: Symbolic links to the undocumented(7) manual page may be provided only
N: when a bug has been filed that no manual page is available. If you
N: like, you may report the bug yourself, and contact
N: lintian-maint@debian.org about this so that this warning gets included
N: in the overrides file for Lintian. (With that, Lintian will ignore
N: this bug in the future.)
N:
N: However, the lack of a manual page is still a bug, and if at all
N: possible you should write one yourself. If the package provides --help
N: output, please at least consider using the help2man utility to
N: generate a simple manual page and adding that to your package.
N:
N: Refer to Policy Manual, section 13.1 for details.

E: tetex-bin: binary-without-manpage kpsepath
N:
N: Each binary in /usr/bin, /usr/sbin, /bin, /sbin, or /usr/games, must
N: have a manual page.
N:
N: Note, that though the `man' program has the capability to check for
N: several program names in the NAMES section, each of these programs
N: must have its own manual page (a symbolic link to the appropriate
N: manual page is sufficient) because other manual page viewers such as
N: xman or tkman don't support this.
N:
N: Refer to Policy Manual, section 13.1 for details.

N:
N: This executable file is not an ELF format binary, and does not start
N: with the #! sequence that marks interpreted scripts. It might be a sh
N: script that fails to name /bin/sh as its shell.
N:

N: All license information should be collected in the debian/copyright
N: file. This usually makes it unnecessary for the package to install
N: this information in other places as well.

Also, since I haven't uploaded anything yet, we're not quite
committed to these packages -- if there are any comments on what I
was doing, you still have time to let me know!
