Recent tetex/pdftex packages?

Hello,

I am in search of a more recent version of the teTeX/pdftex
Debian package than the one under
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/tex/tetex-bin.html
(dated from this year's August). IMHO there must have
been some progress in the mean time -- Dante lists
ftp://ftp.dante.de/tex-archive/systems/pdftex/snapshots/20001113/pdftex-20001113.tgz
as the most recent snapshot. Are you planning any updates 
in the near future? If so, I would greatly appreciate it,
otherwise I have to compile myself (a first, quick attempt failed).

BTW: I do not mean to complain at all, I just don't have the time
to do major technical work myself right now. Keep the good work up!
