Re: Sid

The point is that when the shell is executed nothing is installed yet.
Not even a hard disk partition is mounted at that point

Hi man! Wassup!?!?
Well, it's the new Debian Installer, beautiful don't you think?
I just love it.
So, here we go... All you have to do is, go on trough these steps and then
when you finish the installation, reboot the computer (see the last item),
and then, remove the cd, log on at the system and then, to install the rest
of the system, cause by now, you only have the minimun system, change your
sources.list and make all those steps like apt-get update and so on, and
that's it...
Sorry for the bad english...

And another thing, you doesn't need to execute a shell, just follow the
installer with caution to finish finding your hardware and stuff...

Hi,

I hope this is the right place to ask

I downloaded the images for installation (sid version) from

ftp://ftp.fsn.hu/pub/CDROM-Images/debian-unofficial/sid/

However the "Debian Installer Main Menu" options are

Choose Language
Choose Country
Select Keyboard Layout
Detect and mount CDROM
Load installer components from CD
Change debconf priority
Check the CD ROM's integrity
Execute a Shell
Reboot the system.

I've installed previous debian versions and the Installer Menu
options are different. In this case I don't know what to do after
executing the Shell.

I haven't found any documentation, So I'd appreciate is someone
knows how to proceed with the installation using these CD's

Thanks

Alex
