Debian Testing Security Advisory DTSA-36-1 May 22th, 2007

- --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Package : mydns
Vulnerability : multiple buffer overflows
Problem-Scope : remote
Debian-specific: No
CVE ID : CVE-2007-2362
Multiple buffer overflows in MyDNS allow remote attackers to cause a denial of
service (daemon crash) and possibly execution of arbitrary code.
For the testing distribution (etch) this is fixed in version
1:1.1.0-7.1lenny1
For the unstable distribution (sid) this is fixed in version
1:1.1.0-8
Packages for the alpha, mipsel, and powerpc architectures are still missing and will
be released when they become available.
This upgrade is recommended if you use mydns.
The Debian testing security team does not track security issues for the
stable (sarge) and oldstable (woody) distributions. If stable is vulnerable,
the Debian security team will make an announcement once a fix is ready.
