if xine requires xv (it doesn't iirc) it will not work since there is no
xv driver for cg14/zx/etc. i am assuming since you have a cg14, you have
a ss20 or ss10. not to rain on your parade, but even if you got it to run,
its not likely you would be able to view anything. there is no hardware
support for doing anything (ictl / yuv <-> rgb / etc) with the framebuffer
so it must all be done in software. even fast(er) machines with slower video
choke on relatively small movies.

unstable (at least) has sparc xine packages:

$ apt-cache search xine

gnome-xine - the xine video player, GNOME user interface
libxine-dev - the xine video player library, development packages
libxine0 - the xine video/media player library, binary files
xine-dvdnav - xine DVD plugin that is capable of Menus and special features
xine-ui - the xine video player, user interface
xinetd - replacement for inetd with many enhancements
xlibs-dev - X Window System client library development files

so you can apt-get install it, and experience the pain :)
