I forgot to mention that toulbar2 has a python interface through "numberjack" (https://github.com/eomahony/Numberjack) but is also usable directly from python as a C++ library using ctypes python interface (an example of use bu cimputer vision persons being available here https://github.com/vislearn/combilp).
