Unfortunately this managed to not make it onto anyone's radar for some
time again. :-| (and it appears that 3.6.5 was rleeased in the
meantime.)

It would be at this stage, yes.

Is this update (now for oldstable rather than stable) something you're
still interesting in persuing?


I think will be better at this point to create a new issue to try to get 3.6.5 in oldstable,
which will be probably the last release on the 3.6 series. I'll close this bug and create
a new one for 3.6.5 once I get things ready.
