Package: kwrite
Version: 4:4.8.4-1
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,
When dropping text into kwrite, kate, kile, the vertical text cursor appears
about two
places to the right of where the "mouse" pointer is pointing, which is
unexpected.

The dropped text actually goes where the cursor is, as usual, so I deduce that
there
is something wrong with where the text cursor is placed, with respect to the
mouse pointer.

Thanks,
Edward

Hi,

These two bugs seem to be no longer reproducible in the newer versions of
kwrite/kate (libktexteditor based), sadly I could not point to a single commit
that fixes these issue as the paste code has been reworked thoroughly enough
to make that a daunting task.

Please, if you can still reproduce the issue reopen the corresponding bug.

Happy hacking,
