Just now I thereforde tried # apt-get remove system-config-printer-kde afterwards tried to start $ plasma-desktop And still the same: "KCrash: Application 'plasma-desktop' crashing..." I would really try to dig into this (identify the relevant cause(s) ), but don't know how to manage that in a deftly manner. --
