Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

When creating a message, sometimes upon clicking on "Send", KMail will
respond with a dialog box saying "The message you have composed seems to refer
to an attached file but you have not attached anything." and prompting to
"Attach File.." or "Send as Is" or "Cancel".

I did not attached anything to the message, so I don't know why it's
complaining about this. Responding "Send as is" typically works and sends the
e-mail, but this can cause the message to be rejected by some mailing lists who
refuse attachments.

If the problem cannot be found, why not include a menu item in KMail and/or
a 4th option of "Strip this message of all attachments"?

This means that KMail has detected a word in the body of your mail that
suggest that you are attaching a file, and if you didn't, this warns you about
it.

It's purpose is to make you remember to attach a file if you mention something
on the body of the message that suggest so. Of course, it has false positives.

So, it's not a bug but a feature.

Correct, there is nothing wrong with sending mails without attachments ;-)

There you are mixing stuff. It doesn't want to attach something, it just warns
you that you may be forgettting to attach something.

Because that's not the idea of this warning :)

I'm thus closing this bug.

Kinds regards, Lisandro.
