I've met this problem too.It occurs on my system using ps files generated with LaTeX/dvips. There are font glitches on the mathematics characters (i.e. lines created with math and displaymath environment : even the number characters look horrible) and on many eps files.
The bug 322159 is a duplicate from this one. Hope it will be fixed this month : i'm writing my master thesis ;)
