Re: Bug#98291: being truthful about the FHS and us

Picking this back up where I left it after a brief hiatus...

With the BTS currently down, I can't really do a lot to move this
proposal forward, but I thought I'd at least post the final version
that aj and I hammered out. This meets our goals of being simple,
direct, and addressing the actual problem. As aj pointed out, there's
not much point in mentioning FHS compatibility, since it should come
naturally in any case. So, here's the patch I'll actually be
proposing once things are working again:

Once again, this really is a simple bug fix, so unless there are more
quibbles with the wording, I really hope to get a few seconds, have a
(brief) discussion period, and get this accepted and installed. Since
it is a bug fix, I think it's important to get it in before we freeze.
