gen-itp

Hi all,

I'm ramping up to debianize my distribution Audio::Nama.
Trying to recall what I learned (but mostly didn't
write down) from my last packaging exercise.

First, to file an Intent To Package.

I was going to use reportbug. Now I find there is a
script at:

http://pkg-perl.alioth.debian.org/tips.html

I'm all for automating and regularizing whatever we can.

The script depends on a perl module Dpkg::Control,
however I don't find this module on CPAN, nor by
using apt-cache search.

Secondly, do I need to file an ITP at all?

There are already bugs against WNPP for other versions
of my distribution. Am I supposed to file a new bug for a new
version?

Thanks.
