Bug#372831: openoffice.org: redundant descriptions

Package: openoffice.org
Version: 2.0.2-3
Severity: wishlist

openoffice.org-{calc|draw|impress|math|writer} have descriptions like
"OpenOffice.org is a full-featured office productivity suite that
provides a near drop-in replacement for Microsoft(R) Office.

This package contains the foo component for OpenOffice.org,
a full-featured office productivity suite that provides a near drop-in
replacement for Microsoft(R) Office."
Presumably this was already noticed, but anyway...this is redundant.

Other remarks on descriptions:

"This package contains *the the* equation editor component for
OpenOffice.org"
Spotted in calc, base, writer, impress, draw, math.

The end of descriptions sometimes refer to the IRC channel, sometimes
not. This should be uniform. My preference would be to move that
reference to the README.
