Hi,
I'm trying to install debian woody on an Indy (2GB disk, SGI 24Bit
graphics, 96MB RAM).
With the old "boot-floppies" installer? (which kernel version?)
[snip]
Also by examinig the root filesystem on the Indy's disk (using the shell
of the installation program) I couln't find any /dev file and there is
no /sbin/init.
Erm. What _was_ on this partition then?
What is going wrong ?
Where can I get the missing files from and how can I pass parameters to
the kernel on the Indy ?
By typing them in the firmware shell. But this shouldn't be necessary,
and it won't help in this case.
