A mv_conffile operation got added by Martin Wimpress to the packaging Git via commit hash f62f662e670c2e506beff58579ce6403d1bdfa9c.
In a sid chroot that I upgrade continuously (for test builds and other things), I see that this operation must have happened on the way up-version: mv_conffile /etc/xdg/autostart/mate-volume-control-applet.desktop /etc/xdg/autostart/mate-volume-control-status-icon.desktop 1.22.1-1~
