Bug#492493: Yay for pkexec

retitle 492493 Please replace su-to-root check with pkexec one
tag 492493 - moreinfo
thanks

Hi,

Raphaël Hertzog found by accident that there already exists a solution
to this nightmare. By using “pkexec” instead of the existing helpers,
you obtain an appropriate prompt for the current desktop environment,
using the running policykit agent.

We also get the additional benefit of already using the same framework
for all privilege grants (PolicyKit), until applications are fixed to
use it in a proper way.

Therefore I suggest to check in lintian for all existing instances of
kdesudo, gksu and su-to-root, and ask to replace them with pkexec.

The little brother check would be that the correct policykit-1
dependency is here when pkexec is called.

Cheers,
