The "debug" section contains debugging symbols, which should always have priority extra. Policy specifically mentions them in the description of priority extra.Please consider warning about any packages in section "debug" with any priority higher than "extra".
We do check all packages named *-dbg for that (debug-package-should-be-priority-extra).
Incidentally, all the section:debug packages in unstable that don't follow this naming convention have already priority extra set.
