Mine is closer to that since I did the 'apt-get install bluetooth':
digbyt@fujitsu:~$ lsmod | grep blue
bluetooth 41732 7 rfcomm,l2cap,hci_usb
Its now just seems to be the hidp modules which I don't have
loaded, although it is there in /lib/modules so perhaps will
get loaded as a side effect of using a bluetooth device..

Yes - everything but the HIDP entry is showing up for me too now.

Thanks again. I think that is enough evidence to justify handing
some money over for some hardware and giving it a try.
