That just looks fine....
Don`t care about the cdrom ! 
According to the fact, that there are no other devices found 
the next step could be (just an example)

#fdisk -l /dev/sda

which should list your partition table of your TEAC RemovableDisk 
and after this has run out successfully you should try something like 
#mdkir /mnt/usbdisk1
#mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/usbdisk1

But for the fdisk... of course you must be root .... ;-))
