On second thoughts this (with a singular for "one ~/ each") feels a
bit French.  Which is better: 

   and stores users' private information in their own home directories.

   and stores any private information in the user's own home directory.

Or sidestep the issue:

   and stores private information securely in ~/.anthy/.
