Re: [debian-knoppix] Audigy driver?

"knoppix alsa" works!
Thank you.

For your information, "The Long Story":
with default it booted everything correctly but sound.
The default recognized the audigy hardware but XMMS
and the boot and shutdown sounds failed. XMMS asked
for correct driver and boot messages
complained about missing snd-device and snd-service.

The first two times with boot parameter "knoppix alsa",
the sound worked but the USB mouse failed!?!
It locked in the middle of the screen. No idea why!
I rebooted several times between default and "knoppix alsa"
to trouble shoot, document and narrow the issue.
It eventually worked with sound and mouse together using
"knoppix alsa". I did nothing but reboot.
I wrote down default and "knoppix alsa" boot screens,
but could not reproduce the mouse failure. Strange.

Again, thanks for all your help

-Nathaniel
