Running Debian Jessie, and this problem appeared after upgrading to kernel
3.13-1 from 3.12-x
This may be similar to report 737684.
When running X with one monitor (DVI), and I plug in another (HDMI) and enable
it (xfce monitor utility) the system freezes completly.
When starting X with an HDMI monitor only, it fails to start correctly. Syslog
