The wifi controllers on laptops are normally on expansion cards plugged
into a slot on the motherboard.  So if the only change is a replacement
motherboard, it seems possible that the connection to the new
motherboard is poor.

Unfortunately Fujitsu doesn't seem to provide instructions for opening
up the laptop to check this.
