Open position: Linux System Administrator
Hello,
GSI is a research centre located in Darmstadt, Germany.
Besides building a terrific new accelerator [1]
and operating an awesome data centre [2]
we are running Debian GNU/Linux on more than 2000 nodes ranging from
desktops to super computers.
We are looking for a Linux system administrator in GSI IT's HPC group.

Speaking German is no strict requirement for the job - you will be
joining an international team.
Don't hesitate to send your application in English.
The open position shall primarily strengthen our capacity in deployment
and configuration management
as well as managing core IT services like DNS and our virtualization
platform.
We generally expect that you are able to identify problems by yourself
and work out solutions without tight supervision.
[3] may give you a small glimpse on the way we work.
The position is limited to two years. A conversion to a permanent
position is possible.
