Uso i deb di kde presi ftp.kde.org.
Credo che invece anche woody abbia freetype2.
Tan'e' vero che come pacchetti installati ho:
libfreetype6, freetype2 che pero' e' un Dummy package for transition to
libttf2 e, appunto libttf2.
Ho installato anche x-ttcidfont-conf il quale in fase di configurazione mi
chiede se usare freetype o xtt per la gestione dei truetype sotto X.
Dice:
XFree86 4.x has two backends to handle TrueType fonts, FreeType and
X-TT. FreeType is a standard and simple backend, while X-TT is
alternative and has a mechanism of decorating TrueType fonts that can
create bold and oblique faces from a single font. If unsure, choose
FreeType.
