There is explicit text about this on http://debian.org/ports/ . That
said, itanium is a good name for the architecture that matches common
usage. I think these days the intel approved phrase is "intel itanium
architecture". I'm not sure what IPF is -- perhaps a reference to
itanium processor architecture (a typo for IPA?) -- but in any event
it's no longer in current usage, even by intel. If a move is in order, I
vote for using "itanium".
