Having split files is more an advantage than a problem. The only real
problem is that some of the XML files are not well-balanced and thus not
well-formed, which confuses the tools. For example, some contain two
<sect1>s, which both are located on the top level, and therefore, there is
no root element in the document. When processing using xml2pot, only the
first section is being taken, as the xml parser correctly assumes that the
xml document indeed has a root element - everything after the root element
is closed is discarded.
