Bug#199651: dpkg/apt: when removing a package, purge it if no config files

    As I understand, removing a package instead of purging it is only meant
to leave the config files installed.  So does it make any sense to leave a
record in the package database (an "rc" line in the "dpkg -l" output) when
there aren't any config files in the package?  Here is an example of a
removed (but not purged) package:

$ dpkg -L libgmp3
Package `libgmp3' does not contain any files (!)

My suggestion is to automatically purge a package when it is requested to be
removed, iff the package does not contain any config files. Is that feasible?
