With the release of Lenny /etc/debian_version will be touched with every
point release, to reflect the current revision number of the debian
release (read as in):

now:	    then:
4.1	    4.1r0

That should be documented in the release-notes, as it might brake
external software.

I applied the patch with the addition fix from Martin (Borgert).
