	I am not up to speed with the actual technical issues
 involved, but I can say this: presenting people with a fait accompli
 as a means of starting a discussion is a piss poor way of doing
 things, and is far more likely to lead to acrimony than discussion. I
 am surprised you thought the outcome woulf be different.
