     * now clearly spot locked files in queue with a '*'
     * improved Received: line parsing logic
     * messages in the queue are now locked before processing
     * new pmail() routine to factorize locking/processing code
     * NOP now returns a status

     * fixed overzealous unlinks
     * uses an empty file instead of /dev/null
     * forgot to unlink mail.lock in cp_mail()
