When I startup the system(debain lenny) few days before,a notice shows that there's no network device found,in the form of an icon at the rigth bottom of my KDE desktop, but when I run "ifconfig","eth0" is showed:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr ********
inet addr:*** Bcast:*** Mask:***
inet6 addr: fe80:***:348/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:829 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:99 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:49923 (48.7KiB) TX bytes:12927 (12.6KiB)
interrupt:249
dmesg | grep eth" also shows:
eth0:RTL8168b/8111b at *******
Driver 'sd' needs updating - please use bus_type methods
r8169:eth0:link up
r8169:eth0:link up
eth0:no IPv6 routers present
r8169:eddth0:link down
From the start menu,I tried to use network configuration tool to set my IP:filled in the blanks and applied and changed cards and when changed back,I could just see the previous settings!
Then tried to edit /etc/network/interfaces ,still, nothing happened.
What should I do then?
Is there any solution?
Is there any more information needed?
