I am not sure if this is the correct channel for such a request, but if not, I am hoping you can point me in the right direction.
I am writing about the page "
https://www.debian.org/CD/live/#choose_live". I just want to say that I found it less-than-obvious how to start the Calamares Installer. This is despite having watched
a Youtube video beforehand going through the normal installer, and being very clear that I did not want to do that, as I read the linked page and went though the installation process. The issue was that at no point did I see that Calamares is an executable
program, launched from the live session. I tried the normal "install from a USB media" approach, which put me through the normal installer. I expected to be presented with an option to chose installer in the start of the process, but when it was clear this
was not going to happen, I had come far enough to just push through.
I also think the fix is rather simple. On the linked page, I would change the following statement:
Installer: The live images contain the end-user-friendly
Calamares Installer, a distribution-independent installer framework, as alternative to our well known
Debian-Installer.
To this:
Installer: The live images contains the
Calamares Installer as an alternative to our well known
Debian-Installer. Calamares is an end-user friendly and distribution-independent installer framework, available as an executable program in the live-session.
