re:downloading debian

to whom it may concern:
I am obviosly a novice with regards to Linux --one i have broadband --is it necessary to download an image with jidgo? What am i downloading----am i downloading all the files at  http://us.cdimage.debian.org/jigdo-area/3.0_r1/jigdo/arm/
When i do download these files or try by using jidgo i get the following error messages :continued download failed with 'c'--refusing to truncate existing files with 'index-html' ---file 'arm' does not exist ---are there any simpler instructions for idiots like myself ---any help would be appreciate --i am currently using win 2000 professional  thank you joe kuhar
