Re: apache-perl update?

Evan,

I agree Adam. I think it's always better to have DSO instead of core modules. Imagine a security issue in the mod_perl. With DSO, no need to compile your Apache again, juste change your mod.

Do those that maintain debian have any interest in updating to Apache

There's really no need to have a statically-compiled apache2-perl
package, just install "apache2" and "libapache2-mod-perl2" instead.

The apache-perl package exists for historical reasons, due to past
instability with mod_perl compiled as a DSO, but these issues seem to
have been long since fixed.
