To subscribe, send a message to newtontalk-request@newtontalk.net with
"subscribe" in the subject of your message. You can leave the message
body blank.
If you are subscribed for sure, you **must** post from the exact same
e-mail address you subscribed with (the same address that you entered into
the web form).
If you have *just* subscribed, and get this notice when trying to post,
you should:
1) make sure you replied to the subscription confirmation notice from
Listar (and that it went to the right e-mail address)
2) make sure that you got a notice from Listar that you have been
subscribed.
If you're *sure* that both of those things have happened, and you waited
up to 15 minutes to make sure that everything was processed, *then* mail
the list admin <victor@newtontalk.net> and let him know. (Please save any
automated messages you got from eCartis! They may prove very helpful in
debugging the problem.)
(Your message will be forwarded to the list owner, and it *may* get
approved and posted, but this is highly unlikely)
