I would not include the real spiral. If the abstraction on the
spiral of the left is clear to locals and hence a recognisable
feature of Cape Town or ZA,¹ then the left logo would be a fine
DebConf logo.

¹) It's not clear to me, but then again, I probably wouldn't have
known what the lion in DC15's logo was supposed to be,² had I not
researched this. But researching a lion is easier than abstract
forms.

²) Not saying that this is necessary. You guys need to pick a logo
you guys love. Leave the rest up to the rest. ;)
