Package: apt
Version: 0.7.14
Severity: important
File: /usr/bin/apt-cache

        Hi!

 I notice a strange segfault in apt-cache show. When handing it a source
package name that isn't available as binary package, and when
APT::Cache::AllVersions is set to false, apt-cache show will segfault:

#v+
rhonda@edna:~$ apt-cache show vimoutliner
rhonda@edna:~$ echo 'APT::Cache::AllVersions "false";' | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/apt.conf
APT::Cache::AllVersions "false";
rhonda@edna:~$ apt-cache show vimoutliner
Segmentation fault
rhonda@edna:~$ apt-cache show -a vimoutliner
rhonda@edna:~$
#v-

 I'm not too sure what exactly is going on here, but I think this should
be enough informations to be able to reproduce it relyable.

 Thanks,
Rhonda

Can't reproduce either of these examples anymore, neither with apt
from Wheezy/Sid (0.9.7.8 on amd64) nor from Experimental (0.9.7.9~exp3
on i386).

Closing the bug report hence. Feel free to mark earlier versions as
fixed, too, if appropriate.
