I told apt-get to remove gstreamer-runtime and gstreamer-plugins. It
told me that libflac4 and libjack0.38.0-0 would be installed. I did not
want this, so I aborted. I then told apt-get to remove all four
packages, including the latter two, which were not installed.

apt-get then proceeded to remove every gstreamer plugin (which was
desired), along with gstreamer-runtime, and libflac3. It then installed
libflac4, after I explicitly told it *not* to do so.

It would be nice if apt would not install packages it is told to remove,
and not remove packages it is told to install (unless dependencies
otherwise prohibit doing so).
