Package: apt
Version: 0.3.19
Severity: wishlist

One of the debian mirrors (maybe more than one) is consistently a poor
performer for me; I get big delays and such when the spinner on http.us.debian.org
hits it.

But I can't tell which mirror is the problem, because apt doesn't make that information
available in a convenient way.

So my feature request is for the apt output for downloading (in apt-get update,
upgrade, source, and whatever else) would print the actual IP address as
well as the host name. (Just as do telnet and ping, for example.)

Use netselect on the host rotation, or better yet, don't use the rotation
- pick a mirror that is close to you anyhow.

There is not screen space to show IPs, and the IPs can change with every
request.
