Bug#31054: apt-get ignores '-m option (--ignore-missing)
Package: apt
Version: 0.1.9
If you run apt-get dist-upgrade with the -m (--ignore-missing) option, this
option is ignored.
My situation: I have a CD with a broken xemacs20_common package. So in order to
get past this (I'm at the wrong end of a 33.6k modem:-() I said:
% apt-get -m dist-upgrade
But after finding that xemacs20_common... is broken, it always gives an error
message and dies.
gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--crc error
dpkg-deb: subprocess gzip -dc returned error exit status 1
dpkg: error processing
/cdrom/dists/stable/main/binary-i386/editors/xemacs20-support_20.4-11.deb
(--unpack):
subprocess dpkg-deb --fsys-tarfile returned error exit status 2
Errors were encountered while processing:
/cdrom/dists/stable/main/binary-i386/editors/xemacs20-support_20.4-11.deb
E: Sub-process returned an error code
Rgds!
