Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 1:7.1.0-1
Severity: important

After installing a Debian system (from the Debian snapshot site) dated
21 sep 2006, playing a DVD is not as fast as it should be(frame rate at
around 15 fps); on the contrary, after installing a Debian system dated
14 aug 2006, the problem doesn't occur. It seems an xorg release related
problem (the problem does not occur on release 7.0, but it does occur as
soon as relase 7.1 is used); even the xorg relase used in Etch does not
fix the problem, so I cannot use the current stable distribution to play
DVDs.
My processor is an AMD Duron 700 MHz, the video card is an ATI Xpert 98
(Mach64).

Ok thanks for the followup, I am closing this bug then. The fix was
probably in Xserver 1.4 (or maybe in the ATI driver, but I don't think
Mach64 support has been improved a lot recently).
