 Mesa ships the same GLU as XFree86, and both come from the SGI OpenGL
 SI.

 Look in xc/extras/ogl-sample, e.g. README.XF86:

     This is an import of selected parts of SGI's ogl-sample
     distribution, which is available from their CVS repository at
     :pserver:cvs@oss.sgi.com/cvs (password 'cvs', check out
     "projects/ogl-sample/main).

 The same goes for the GLw component.
